The Battle of Arnhem in 1944 was part of Operation Market Garden. The Allies wanted to get their hands as soon as possible on the bridges crosses the rivers Maas, Waal and Rhine in order that the rest of Europe could be freed.
In September 1944 10.000 British paratroopers landed in the First Airborne Division west of Arnhem. Arnhem was a bridge too far.
Led by a specialized guide, you will make a tour of the historic sites of the Battle of Arnhem, such as the John Frost bridge, the Little Church, the War Cemetery at Oosterbeek and a few landings areas.
The tour also takes you to newly renovated Airborne Museum.
